Sliding Scale Payment Options
At Strides Psychotherapy, we believe that quality mental health care should be accessible to everyone. We offer a limited number of sliding scale spots to clients who may not otherwise be able to afford therapy. Sliding scale fees are based on income and financial circumstances.
How Our Sliding Scale Works
We use a combination of household income and financial need to determine eligibility. The purpose is to provide reduced fees while ensuring fairness and sustainability for our therapists.
You may qualify for sliding scale rates if you:
Are a student or recent graduate
Are underemployed or unemployed
Are a single-income household
Have significant medical or caregiving expenses
Are experiencing temporary financial hardship

Ongoing Eligibility and Reassessment
Sliding scale fees are designed to support clients during periods of financial need. Because circumstances can change over time, we reassess sliding scale eligibility every 6 months.
If your financial situation improves, you may no longer qualify for a reduced fee and will be asked to transition to our standard rate or a higher tier within the scale.
If your financial situation worsens, we’re happy to revisit your fee and make adjustments where possible.
We’ll reach out when it’s time to reassess, and we’ll always approach the conversation with care and respect. Our goal is to make therapy accessible while also ensuring sustainability for our practice and team.
