Wendi Jia is a licensed mental health counselor who works with adults and adolescents navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, and existential questions. She provides a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their emotions, gain clarity, and build confidence in managing life’s complexities.
With a humanistic and integrative approach, Wendi tailors therapy to each client’s needs, incorporating psychodynamic insights, strength-based techniques, and evidence-based modalities like ACT and CBT. She believes that understanding one’s personal narrative is key to self-discovery and lasting change. Through thoughtful reflection, deep listening, and practical tools, she helps clients break unhelpful patterns, cultivate self-compassion, and move toward a more fulfilling life.
Wendi is bilingual in English and Mandarin and is attuned to the unique challenges of cultural identity, immigration experiences, and personal growth. She holds a Master’s in Education from the College of William & Mary and an Advanced Certificate in Mental Health Counseling from Alfred University. Before becoming a therapist, Wendi studied engineering in China, an experience that shaped her analytical mindset and structured problem-solving approach—qualities she now integrates into her counseling work.
She views therapy as a courageous step toward self-understanding and transformation. Wendi is honored to support her clients in expanding their inner worlds, deepening their relationships, and embracing their authentic selves.
